GAN has teamed up with Island View Casino in Mississippi to initiate its sports wagering operations in the American market. This is the inaugural US implementation of GAN Sports since GAN acquired Coolbet in January 2021.
Casino patrons can place sports wagers on twenty networked self-service terminals. GAN will also introduce a mobile sports betting platform known as “Bet the V” to supplement the retail operation.
The mobile solution will be driven by GAN’s GameSTACK Player Account Management (PAM) system, enabling multi-channel sports betting within the casino through retail kiosks or mobile devices.
GAN will also furnish marketing and customer support services. The agreement will allow for the statewide rollout of mobile sports betting in the future should Mississippi legislation expand betting options. At present, consumers can only place mobile bets within licensed casinos.
The project was made feasible after GAN acquired the Vincent Group, the operator of Coolbet, for $175.9 million last January. Its GAN Sports product is founded on Coolbet technology.
GAN states that it anticipates announcing additional GAN Sports launches throughout 2023.
