PointsBet, the internet wagering firm, has brought on Liam Roecklein as their new Senior Vice President of Content.
Roecklein previously held the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cheddar News, where he oversaw all their content, expansion, programming, and production. He also served as an Executive Producer at Time Inc.
In his new position, Roecklein will be in charge of PointsBet’s digital, social, and conventional media content strategy. He will also be responsible for maintaining connections with companies like NBC Sports and professional sports associations like the NFL, NBA, and PGA Tour.
Roecklein stated, “PointsBet has a wealth of talent and excellent sports partnerships. There’s a significant opportunity to create exceptional content across all forms of media. We’re on the cusp of something significant. PointsBet is poised to become a leader in attracting new users and engaging them where they are.”
Roecklein will report to Kyle Christensen, who was appointed Chief Marketing Officer in October.
The organization also made another prominent hiring at the end of the year, appointing Mary-Beth Hoskins as its Chief Information Officer.
