Football Weekends: Telford United Offers Free Tickets to Lottery Players

The Bucks are participating in a UK-wide festival of football, financed by the National Lottery, to assist teams in bouncing back from COVID-19.

On the 2nd of April, 2022, any individual holding a National Lottery entry can bring a companion without charge to see Telford United take on the Tigers in the sixth tier of English football.

The global health crisis severely impacted organizations like Telford, halting games and slashing vital income from spectators. This project from the National Lottery, known as “Football Weekends”, will deliver a critical boost to teams throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Overall, 231 teams will be offering a two-for-one ticket offer to lottery participants for a fixture in March or April. This forms part of a broader £12.5 million contribution from the National Lottery to protect the future of grassroots football.

The Telford United Football Club holds a significant place within our local populace. This critical financial assistance is essential for us to maintain operations and carry on the indispensable services we provide, benefiting both our supporters and the broader community.”
