A Canadian online gaming firm, Bet99, is joining forces with gaming tech company Low6 to introduce a complimentary gaming experience for its user base. This initiative comes as Bet99 aims to broaden its footprint in Canada, particularly within the recently established Ontario market.
These no-cost games will utilize Low6’s technological framework and will center around prominent North American sports such as the NFL and NHL. Such games, especially those revolving around events like the NFL Draft, have witnessed a surge in popularity within the US, drawing in casual enthusiasts and presenting an alternative to conventional sports wagering.
This collaboration seeks to replicate similar achievements in Canada. Milena Teskova, CEO of BQC Consulting, the entity behind Bet99, posits that this will enhance user interaction and attract fresh clientele. Josh Turk, Co-Founder of Low6, shared this viewpoint, emphasizing that free-to-play games serve as a valuable mechanism for acquainting novices with the realm of sports betting in an enjoyable, risk-free setting.
The games will enable fans to engage in friendly competition while becoming acquainted with prevalent betting notions like point spreads and over/under bets. This calculated maneuver by Bet99 strategically positions them to leverage the expanding Canadian sports betting market.
Kings Entertainment has received approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), however, they are still awaiting the go-ahead from iGaming Ontario (iGO). The company has ambitious expansion plans and is taking steps to acquire Sports Venture Holdings (SVH), the parent company of Bet99. A shareholder meeting has been scheduled for October 25th to formally approve the transaction.
