Anders Ström has been designated as the new Board Chair at Kambi Group, taking over for Lars Stugemo.
A Kambi co-founder, Stugemo, opted to relinquish his position after ten years as Chairman. He believed it was the opportune moment to hand over leadership and recommended Ström as his replacement.
Stugemo conveyed his satisfaction in Kambi’s evolution from a modest venture to a dominant player in the market, a transformation he undertook alongside Ström. He underscored his faith in Ström’s foresight and guidance for Kambi’s future.
Ström contributes a wealth of expertise to the role. As the originator of Kindred Group and co-founder of Kambi, he has been a significant influence within the wagering sector for numerous years. He has held a position on Kambi’s board since its establishment and is prepared to assume this new duty.
He expressed immense enthusiasm about assuming the position of Kambi’s Chairman, emphasizing the firm’s latest series of fruitful collaborations. “Kambi is truly disrupting the sports wagering landscape currently, and I’m keen to guide the board as we persist in breaking new ground.”
It’s noteworthy that Strän, already a board and Nominating Committee participant, was not included in the deliberations regarding his recent designation.
