A Sky News exclusive reveals that Allwyn, vying for the UK National Lottery agreement, is poised to declare David Craven as its next chief executive.
Allwyn, a branch of the Czech lottery behemoth Sazka Group, will install Craven to strengthen its proposal to manage the National Lottery when the existing permit concludes.
Craven contributes extensive expertise from his tenure directing prominent wagering software and management firms such as The Tote and World Gaming. Allwyn was particularly struck by his history of digital modernization within the sector.
The Gambling Commission is anticipated to determine later this year whether to grant the upcoming license to the current holder, Camelot, or to transition to a fresh enterprise.
Sazka has been constructing a formidable team to back its bid, recently designating Sir Keith Mills as bidding chair and onboarding other industry titans like former Sainsbury’s CEO Justin King and Lastminute.com co-founder Brent Hoberman.
“The National Lottery holds greater significance than ever,” stated Craven. “I’ve committed my career to leveraging technology to enhance the consumer experience, both at physical locations and digitally.”
“Naturally, this entails making games enjoyable and captivating, but I also hold a strong belief that technology represents the optimal method for safeguarding customers.”
